Not Entirely Classical

I started playing violin in fifth grade after attending a concert at school for the elementary school orchestra.  I originally wanted to play the cello but the guy at the music store said that my hands were too small to play the ones they had for sale so they convinced me to try the violin.

The night of a holiday concert
Right away I loved it.  My favorite song to play was "String Beans".  As I grew up (this of course being a subjective term) the love for the instrument never left me.  In 2006 I joined up with Sage Michaels in his band "Screaming Shiva".

In recent years I'm sad to say I've only played a handful of times.  Two young children and a budding business take up the majority of my time.  But I miss it.  I definitely want to pick it back up again.
